Residential Deck

PROJECT:

The Home of Outdoor Entertainment

Residential Deck Remodel.jpg

Designing a deck for this home required a balance of both aesthetic and functional considerations. The first step was to determine the purpose of the deck and identify how it would be used. This can included factors such as the size of the deck, the type of materials to be used, and the layout of the deck.

The location and orientation of the deck was also a significant consideration, as it determined the amount of sunlight and privacy the deck will receive.

Next, we looked at the structural requirements such as the type of footings and framing that would support the deck. We also kept in mind the overall style and aesthetic of the home so the deck complemented the existing architecture.

We worked with our client to review what amenities they wished to include in the design, such as built-in seating, lighting, and other amenities that would enhance the functionality and enjoyment of the space.

Not only was the visual design of the deck important, but the safety and durability was a top priority at every stage of the design process.
